Cookie Policy

1. Marketing & analytics cookies: on unless you refuse

We use the Meta Pixel (for ads on Instagram and Facebook), the TikTok Pixel (for ads on TikTok), and Google Analytics (to understand how the site is used). Together they tell us which ads actually lead to orders, instead of guessing.

They are on while you browse, and the banner at the bottom of the page tells you so. Click “No thanks” and they stop: nothing more is sent from your browser, and their cookies (_fbp, _fbc, _ga, _ttp) are deleted. If you say no, we ask again once after 30 days, and nothing turns back on unless you click “Sounds good”.

Unless you refuse, this is shared: that you visited a page or a product, that you added something to your cart or started checkout, and that you completed an order (with its total). Never your street address, and nothing readable about who you are.

Meta also receives these same events from our server (the Meta Conversions API), matched to the browser event so nothing is counted twice. When you are signed in or place an order, your email, phone, name and delivery region (governorate) go along in hashed form (SHA-256), never in plain text. If you refuse cookies, our server still reports completed orders (amount, products and the hashed details above) so we know which ads lead to sales, but nothing about your browsing.

Where your visit came from (bricksland:source): if you arrive from one of our ads or links, we keep its campaign labels (utm_ tags), whether it was a click on a Meta ad (yes or no, never the click identifier itself), your landing page and the website that sent you, for 30 days on your device. If you order, it is attached to that order so we can see which ads lead to sales. Not recorded if you refused cookies.

You can change your mind at any time with the “Cookie preferences” link at the bottom of any page. You can also manage what Meta and TikTok show you from your own ad preferences on those platforms.

2. What we store on your device, regardless

Your cart and saved (favourited) items, so they’re still there if you close the tab and come back.

Your light/dark theme choice, once you pick one; otherwise the site opens in light mode.

Whether you asked to see prices in Lebanese pounds next to the US dollar price (the USD / LBP button in the header). Prices are always charged in US dollars; the LBP figure is indicative.

Which promo events you’ve already seen, so we don’t show you the same pop-up twice.

Your answer to the cookie banner, so we don’t ask again on every page.

If you pay online with Whish: the number of the order you’re paying for, kept only while the payment is in progress (up to 15 minutes), so we can show you its status when Whish sends you back to the site.

While you fill in your delivery details: what you’ve typed so far, kept only in this browser tab (it disappears when you close the tab or place your order), so a page refresh doesn’t make you type it again.

None of this is sent to us or to anyone else: it stays in your browser, on this device, until you clear it.

3. If you’re signed in

Our authentication provider (Supabase) keeps you signed in using your browser’s local storage, not a cookie. Signing out, or clearing your browser’s site data, ends the session.

Your cookie choice is also saved to your account, so it follows you across devices instead of being asked again on each one.

4. Clearing this data

Clearing your browser’s site data for brickslands.com removes everything stored on this device. Your account, orders and Miles aren’t affected: those live on our servers, tied to your account, not your browser.
